About the Role
-Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software
-Posting financial transactions in databases
-Receiving and recording vouchers, cash, and checks
-Producing a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets
-Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings
-Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records
-Interacting with management, customers, vendors, and customers
-Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
-Some college coursework or vocational training in Accounting. Prior experience in a credit union or financial institution, preferred
Requirements
-Advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel and Word
-Understanding of general computer and web-based programs
-General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
